Artech Digital Multimeter - A5030

The digital multimeter (DMM) is an essential tool in every electronic enthusiasts arsenal. This Smart Digital Multimeter, however, is not your average multimeter, it features a continuity sound at less than about 40±10Ω, current/voltage sense, and a Smart Measurement feature. You can use the multimeter to measure AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, continuity, capacitance, frequency, temperature, EF, Hz DUTY, and test diodes.

With Smart Measurement this multimeter will auto identify the measurement of ACV, DCV, resistance and continuity. This multimeter will also auto range to the optimum range to provide the best resolution and accuracy for the input signal. An auto power off feature is also present on this multimeter. This meter will automatically shut off after approximately 15 minutes of operation.

Note: Two AA batteries are required to operate the Smart Multimeter. These are not included with this product and will need to be purchased separately.

How to Use a Multimeter

January 9, 2015

Learn the basics of using a multimeter to measure continuity, voltage, resistance and current.

Core Skill: Electrical Prototyping

If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.

2 Electrical Prototyping

Skill Level: Rookie - You may be required to know a bit more about the component, such as orientation, or how to hook it up, in addition to power requirements. You will need to understand polarized components.

It’s a multimeter that does it’s job

Not much to elaborate on besides that 😅

A fine multimeter

This is a great meter. Does all the measurements I need and is easy to use.

Ok meter

Good read time and accurate, but lacks a place to mount the probes. Not quite as nice as the other one I got some years back. The back is lacking the rubber mounts for the probes which I find helpful when they're not in use. The fold-out stand is rather flimsy. But, overall, it's a good meter.
