SparkFun Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

Please read these Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions carefully before enrolling in the SparkFun Affiliate Program.

By applying for and participating in the program, you agree to these Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions, as well as the SparkFun Electronics Terms & Conditions available at:

1. Purpose of the Affiliate Program

The SparkFun Affiliate Program is intended to reward creators, educators, makers, engineers, and community members who produce original content that showcases SparkFun products and helps others learn, build, and innovate.

Affiliates are expected to promote SparkFun in a truthful, educational, and authentic manner. SparkFun reserves the right to determine whether an affiliate's promotional activities align with the purpose and spirit of the program.

2. Modifications

SparkFun Electronics reserves the right to modify these Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions, commission rates, payment procedures, eligible products, promotional materials, or any other aspect of the Affiliate Program at any time and at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

Continued participation in the Affiliate Program following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.

3. Enrollment & Acceptance

Enrollment in the SparkFun Affiliate Program constitutes acceptance of these Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions in their entirety, as well as the SparkFun Electronics Terms & Conditions.

Participation in the program is subject to approval by SparkFun Electronics. SparkFun reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or revoke any affiliate account at its sole discretion.

4. Promotional Materials

Approved affiliates will receive access to designated promotional materials, which may include referral links, banners, coupon codes, and other approved marketing assets.

SparkFun may modify, add, replace, or remove promotional materials at any time, with or without notice.

Affiliates may only use promotional materials provided or expressly approved by SparkFun Electronics and may not alter or misrepresent SparkFun branding in a misleading or deceptive manner.

5. Commission & Affiliate Referrals

This Affiliate Agreement becomes effective immediately upon registration.

An Affiliate Referral is a qualifying purchase made by a customer who accesses the SparkFun website through the affiliate's unique referral link or other approved tracking method.

Affiliates earn a 10% commission on qualifying purchases of eligible SparkFun Original products. Only products designated by SparkFun as SparkFun Original products are eligible for commission.

If a qualifying order is canceled, refunded, returned, charged back, or otherwise determined to be ineligible, any associated commission may be revoked or deducted from the affiliate's account. SparkFun reserves the right to adjust commission balances accordingly.

Commissions are issued as SparkFun account credit and are typically applied within 1–2 business days after a qualifying order is placed.

Affiliates may not earn commissions on purchases made for their own use, purchases made by members of their household, or purchases made by businesses or organizations they own or control.

SparkFun Electronics reserves the sole right to determine commission eligibility and to adjust, withhold, revoke, or recover commissions associated with canceled, refunded, returned, charged back, fraudulent, duplicate, or otherwise ineligible orders.

6. Prohibited Activities

To maintain the integrity of the Affiliate Program, affiliates agree not to engage in any activity that artificially generates commissions or misrepresents SparkFun Electronics.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Self-referrals or purchases made for personal use, household members, or organizations under the affiliate's control.

• Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading advertising or promotional practices.

• Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden redirects, or any attempt to manipulate referral tracking.

• Spam, unsolicited commercial email, or excessive posting of affiliate links in forums, communities, or social platforms where such promotion is not permitted.

• Creating or distributing false reviews, misleading product claims, or content that inaccurately represents SparkFun products.

• Unauthorized use of SparkFun trademarks, logos, copyrighted materials, or branding.

• Purchasing advertisements using SparkFun trademarks or brand terms without prior written permission.

• Promoting unauthorized coupon codes, discounts, or incentives intended solely to generate commissions.

• Artificially generating clicks, referrals, or purchases through bots, scripts, automated systems, click farms, or similar methods.

• Any activity that violates applicable laws, regulations, platform policies, or the SparkFun Electronics Terms & Conditions.

SparkFun Electronics reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and may suspend, revoke, or terminate affiliate accounts and withhold or recover commissions resulting from prohibited activities.

7. Term & Termination

This Affiliate Agreement begins upon date of registration and remains in effect until terminated by either party.

Either SparkFun Electronics or the affiliate may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause.

Upon termination, no new commissions will accrue for orders placed after the effective termination date. Any commissions earned prior to termination remain subject to these Terms & Conditions and SparkFun's commission review process.

Upon termination, the affiliate must promptly discontinue use of all SparkFun trademarks, logos, referral links, banners, coupon codes, and other promotional materials.

Participation in the Affiliate Program does not exempt affiliates from complying with the SparkFun Electronics Terms & Conditions, which continue to apply throughout participation in the program and, where applicable, following termination of this Agreement.
