August 12, 2013

Learn the basics about LEDs as well as some more advanced topics to help you calculate requirements for projects containing many LEDs.

Core Skill: Electrical Prototyping

If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.

2 Electrical Prototyping

Skill Level: Rookie - You may be required to know a bit more about the component, such as orientation, or how to hook it up, in addition to power requirements. You will need to understand polarized components.

In the description you say "All are 3V and 20mA." That conflicts with the information on the Features tab and on the box cover photos. You should correct the description so someone doesn't think it is safe to directly apply 3V to the red and yellow ones without a current limiting resistor.

Also interesting that the box cover photos say 365 parts, which doesn't match the 5 x 50 + 5 x 25 counts also on the box cover photos. (Fortunately your description did the correct math, and I don't think anyone would complain about getting 375 parts instead of 365 parts.)
