Need to add a crisp, easy-to-read visual element for your next project? The SparkFun Qwiic OLED Display is the perfect solution. This compact screen features a vibrant 1.3-inch monochrome (white-on-black) OLED with a 128x64 pixel resolution, making it ideal for displaying text, sensor readings, graphics, and even simple animations.
Plug-and-Play with Qwiic
Thanks to the integrated Qwiic Connect System, getting this display up and running is incredibly easy. There is no soldering required! Simply plug a Qwiic cable into the board and your Qwiic-enabled microcontroller (like a SparkFun RedBoard or Thing Plus), and you're ready to go. This plug-and-play system makes prototyping faster and less prone to connection errors.
For those who prefer a traditional breadboard, we've also broken out the standard 0.1"-spaced I2C pins.
Easy to Use, Easy to Code
We've made the software just as simple as the hardware, with full support for both Arduino and Python-based platforms.
- Arduino: The display is fully supported by the SparkFun OLED Arduino library, which handles all the complex commands for writing text and drawing shapes. You can install it in seconds through the Arduino Library Manager.
- Python: We also have a powerful Python package (
qwiic_oled_base_py) that makes it easy to use with Python, MicroPython, and CircuitPython, perfect for Raspberry Pi, RP2350, and other Python-based boards.
Built-in Flexibility
The display uses I2C for communication. The default address is 0x3D, but we've included an address jumper on the back of the board. If you have an address conflict with another device, you can apply a bit of solder to the jumper to change the address to 0x3C, giving you the flexibility you need for complex projects.
