Product Overview

The FP is a high-precision GNSS device built for compatibility with our modular Flex System of receivers, designed to be entirely repairable and future-proof in addition to a powerful positioning device.

The standalone FP will not function as a GNSS receiver unless it's used with a SparkPNT Flex module.

We believe the user should have total control over the devices they own. These receivers are repairable, user-upgradeable, and use open-source firmware. The FP with no GNSS receiver is the base model of the FP with no enclosed module. Open it up and install a Flex module, and your high-precision device is ready to be put to work.

How does the FP work?

The FP models are differentiated by the Flex module inside that contains the GNSS receiver. The FP comes fully assembled with the chosen module, ready to be turned on and put to work.

If a new GNSS receiver gets released down the road or you decide that you want something different out of your device, you don’t have to buy a whole new device - just a new module.

All models are contained in our robust cast-aluminum housing, with an internal structure designed for easy compatibility with our Flex system of GNSS modules. 

This enclosure provides each FP model with:

  • IP67 rated housing that blocks out dust, water and other environmental hazards
  • Internal survey-grade L1/L2/L5/L6 GNSS antenna
  • LoRa radio with detachable antenna
  • WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity
  • MFi certification
  • Internal fast-charging battery

The FP makes high-precision positioning more accessible.

The FP has an internal high power 1W LoRa radio built in, and comes with an external antenna that screws right into the bottom of the device.

The FP's carrying case has a custom compartment for the antenna, so no extra accessories are needed for long-range radio communication.

Compatible with all your favorite GIS apps.

Bluetooth connectivity gives you wireless connection to your preferred data collecting mobile applications.
