Product Overview
The micro:bit v2 Go Bundle is the quickest and most economical way to get started with the micro:bit ecosystem. While the standalone board is great for those who already have a workshop full of cables, this bundle is designed for those who want to hit the ground running. It includes everything you need to power up, connect, and start programming immediately, no hunting for spare parts required.
What’s in the Bundle?
Inside the box, you will find the essential tools you'll need without having to track down an extra battery holder or USB cable:
- BBC micro:bit v2 Board: The powerful pocket-sized computer at the heart of your projects.
- micro-B USB Cable: For connecting to your computer to program and power the board.
- AAA Battery Holder & Batteries: Allows you to take your projects on the go without being tethered to a computer.
- Quick Start Guide: Features four unique ideas to help you launch your first project in minutes.
Advanced Hardware & Capabilities
The v2 board included in this bundle is a significant upgrade from the previous micro:bit version, retaining the intuitive interface users love while adding powerful new onboard components. This enhanced design packs the potential to grow with you into a small form factor, ensuring you have the tools to build even more complex and interactive projects as you learn:
- Interactive Inputs: Features two programmable tactile buttons and a touch-sensitive logo for game and media control.
- Sound & Speech: Now equipped with a built-in MEMS microphone (with a sound-input LED indicator) and a speaker, enabling your projects to sense sound and talk back without external attachments.
- Visual Display: A 5x5 array of 25 red LEDs allows you to flash messages, display numbers, and even acts as a light sensor.
- Motion & Direction: Built-in accelerometer and compass let the board detect motion and indicate your heading.
Wireless Freedom
With Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0), you can interact seamlessly with other devices and the Internet. Intuitive micro:bit mobile apps let you wirelessly send code to your board via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for a USB cable during programming.

Maker-Friendly Design
Under the hood, the included micro:bit v2 runs on a fast 64 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller (512KB Flash, 128KB RAM) with a built-in temperature sensor. Connection is easier than ever; the bottom edge features 25 gold-tabbed pins and five ring connectors (Power, Ground, and I/O). The large tabs are now notched, making it incredibly easy to secure alligator clips for quick prototyping.
If you need larger quantities, we also offer the micro:bit Club Kit. This 10-pack offers a bulk discount on the Go Bundle, making it the ideal choice for schools, clubs, and coding groups.
