Product Overview

The SparkFun Red Vision Touch Display (Without Display) is a specialized interface board designed for users who want the computer vision capabilities of the Red Vision ecosystem but prefer to output video to a larger external monitor rather than a small onboard screen. By removing the LCD, this board serves as a streamlined bridge, connecting the Red Vision Camera to your RP2350 RedBoard IoT while leaving the high-speed pins accessible for other video solutions.

While the hardware is compatible with other 3.3V logic RedBoards or R3 Arduino boards with sufficient processing power, the specific Red Vision Code Package is currently supported only on the RP2350.

This "stripped-down" configuration opens up new possibilities for how you view your data:

Like the standard version, this board simplifies the hardware setup for machine vision by providing a dedicated mating connector for the SparkFun Red Vision Camera Board. It snaps directly onto your microcontroller in a standard R3 footprint for a compact, wire-free assembly.

Powered by OpenCV

When paired with the RP2350 RedBoard IoT, this hardware unlocks the SparkFun Red Vision code package. This MicroPython port of the industry-standard OpenCV library allows you to run advanced tasks, such as object detection, color tracking, and contour analysis, all directly on the microcontroller and display the results on your screen of choice.
