Over the past four years that I’ve worked here, SparkFun has worked hard to expand our availability to make it easier to stay in contact with customers. We’ve added a Twitter account, Facebook page, Google+, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr- basically trying to cover as many bases as possible. A lot of people choose to ignore social media (and that’s just fine), but for those that use it on a daily basis, these channels provide us with just one more way to stay in touch with our customers, answer questions, and receive feedback.
One thing that we’ve wanted to do for a long time was an email customer newsletter. You may or may not remember, but when you signed up for your SparkFun customer account there was a little remote button that said something along the lines of “Sign me up for the newsletter!” If you clicked that button, you opted-in to receive our newsletter. But for the last few years, well - there hasn’t actually been a newsletter. Not anymore!
Back in October, we sent out our first newsletter! We sent another one in November and that’s looking like our schedule for the time being - once a month, we will send you a newsletter with SparkFun news, happenings, and potentially deals and specials.
Today we just wanted to let you know that this newsletter exists. If you would like to receive it, simply go to your profile settings (if you are logged in, there is a drop down arrow at the top right hand side of the screen - click it and select “Manage Account”) and click the button at the bottom to “Receive Newsletter.”
Rest assured we will not send you the newsletter if you didn’t opt in and you’re free to unsubscribe at any time.
