Sprint Academy is working to bring detailed data to sprint training using Arduino.
In competitive running and sprinting, even small mistakes can have significant impacts on the results. When you're talking movements carried out in two-tenths of a second, it can become difficult to understand how to improve, which is where Sprint Academy comes in. They have designed the Bounce Box, which can be used to provide real-time, objective feedback to sprinters on their performance. Best of all? Its rugged design means it can be thrown down anywhere training is happening - no fancy lab required.
To achieve their aim, Sprint Academy uses the SparkFun RedStick to provide instant feedback on athlete’s ground contact time, an important metric for sprinting in any sport.
