We’re really excited to have the opportunity to explore the world of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) with our friends over at Elektor! When Rob’s “Perfect Parking with LiDAR” project was included in our round up of favorites in the SparkFun edition of Elektor, we thought it would be great to take learning about LiDAR a little further.
In part one of this two-part series, Rob explains the history and technology behind how 1D LiDAR works before walking us through his parking light project. In part two, we learn about 2D LiDAR from Clemens and see his DIY Autonomous Vehicle.
