Welcome Back New Products!

New. Lots. XBee, linear pots, encoder, USB ANT Stick, a little LilyPad proto board, some AA batteries, and a new Rotary Phone using Bluetooth!

It has been awhile since we have posted new products, needless to say we have a ton of new stuff.

The new long range XBee 900 XCS and XBee 900 modules are freakin awesome. The 900 XCS modules can reach up to 15 miles (!!) line of sight with a 9.6kbps Max data rate and the 900 modules can reach up to 6 miles line of sight with a faster 156kbps Max data rate. Using the 900MHz ISM band, the power is really cranked up to get this long range.

Check out the slide potentiometer and knob. The slide action on the 10kOhm potentiometer is smooth and heavy similar to audio mixer consoles. Will work great along with our USB-MIDI controller.

Oh yea, in addition, we have a rotary encoder and knob. Do I smell an audio mixer project?!

Keeping on the audio beat, the VS1033D MP3 breakout board can decode Ogg Vorbis, MP3, AAC, WMA, and MIDI audio formats, in addition to driving 30Ohm headphones with no additional power supply.

Adding to our ANT Nordic transceiver breakout board, we have made an easy to use USB ANT Stick. Now all you have to do is plug this guy into a USB port to read your HRM straps or anything that uses the ANT protocol.

The ever popular Bluetooth Rotary Phone is now in SparkFun red!

We have rushed the new and improved ADXRS series line of gyros to the storefront. Still comes in all three flavors; 50 degree/sec, 150 degree/sec, and 300 degree/sec.

You can always use protoboards. The Lilypad Large and Small protoboards work great when prototyping with the Lilypad system. Remeber, these are washable and work well with conductive thread.

A simple breakout board for the vertical USB Type B connector.

And finally standard AA batteries from Duracell.

Any chance of getting a linear (as opposed to log taper) rotary potentiometer stocked anytime soon?

How about some RP-SMA patch cables to go along with the Xbee stuff.
would be nice for those outdoor projects where I want to get an external antenna on my project.
    And RP-SMA bulkhead fittings too!

    • Awesome - that's what we need to know! We're working on getting RPSMA 900MHz antennas. We'll look for some bulkhead SMA/RPSMA as well.

    The new XBEE's are amazing!
I like the 900 more than the 900 XCS because of the data rate.
