Hello, everyone! We hope you had a great week because we have some new products to show you. On this fine Friday we are pleased to bring you our new version of the Mini SIK and a brand new addressable LED strip that shines in a variety of white tones. Without further ado let's get down to the products. This is your Friday Product Post!

SparkFun Tinker Kit

The SparkFun Tinker Kit (STK) is a great way to get started with programming and hardware interaction with the Arduino programming language. The STK is our newest version of the former SparkFun Mini Inventor's Kit blended with elements of our educator MESA kit. Each SparkFun Tinker Kit includes everything you need to complete 11 circuits, teaching you how to blink an LED, read sensors, drive servos, and more. You don't need any previous programming or electronics experience to use this kit.

White Tri-Color LED Strip - Addressable, Sealed (1m)

These are sealed, addressable 1 meter-long 5V White Tri-Color LED strips that come packed with 60 SK6812 5050 LEDs. Each of these strips is enclosed by a flexible silicon jacket with an IP65 waterproof rating to protect your precious LEDs. Unlike our other addressable LED strips, this version does not feature RGB LEDs. Instead, you will be able to change each LED to provide a unique warm white, cool white, or amber combination. You will be able to control each LED individually, allowing you to create cool lighting effects for your car, fish tank, or perhaps under-cabinet lighting in your kitchen!

That's all we have for this week. We really hope you had a great week and will have an even better weekend. We'll see you back here next Friday with even more new products. See you then!

  • I miss the old NFPP videos. They inspired me to buy stuff I didn't need. I'm buying less stuff these days, with the new format of the NFPP. The last three weeks I haven't even been motivated to check sparkfun.com out on Friday (used to be something I did every Friday). Don't lose the spark Sparkfun!
